Do you know the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer? Sadly, over 1200 cases of ovarian cancer are expected to be diagnosed this year and many are found at an advanced stage.
Stuart is a Gynaecologic Oncologist and the current President of the Australasian Gynaecologic and Endoscopy & Surgery Society.
His particular clinical interests are Gynaecologic Cancer Surgery and complex laparoscopic surgery. He is involved in teaching and the co-ordination of a national training program for advanced laparoscopic surgical training in gynaecology and is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Surgical Education. He completed Fellowships in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery as well as Gynaecologic Oncology.
He serves on the National Medical Research and Advisory Group of Ovarian Cancer Australia and is also the Obstetrics and Gynaecology representative on the WA Anaesthetic and Surgical Mortality.

Dr Jade Acton graduated medicine from James Cook University in 2006, before completing six years of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Perth. In 2016, Dr Acton was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr Acton has completed a two-year Australasian Gynaecologic and Endoscopy and Surgery Society Accredited Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. Her particular clinical interest is in endometriosis and complex laparoscopic surgery.
Dr Acton is interested in surgical teaching and training and has completed a Masters in Surgical Education. She is involved in clinical research and has multiple publications in the field of gynaecology.
